My Exoskeleton

One of the projects we had to do in college was to do with shoes, movement and the body. For it I designed and built this exoskeleton. it started off as being shoes with legs that mimic the movement of the user's legs and then I decided to add a top half to the body aswell that included arms with grabbers. The joints are sprung, on the legs using bungee ropes to allow them to oppose the direction of movement of the users legs so that they return to start position after each movement. The shoulder joints and hip joints are aticulated in 360 degree by 180 degree movement allowing easy reproduction of the movement of the users limbs, including swiveling of the legs, steps in any direction, twisting of the arms and reaching in any direction. The unit is supported and connected via the waist where it is belted onto the user providing ease of control for the user just by the movement of their body.
